Celebrate PARK(ing) DAY 2018
Planning efforts are underway
PARK(ing) Day has evolved into a worldwide event when on-street parking spaces are transformed into temporary, miniature parks or parklets. The goal is to demonstrate the value of landscape architecture and designed spaces. Participants at each location discuss the parklets with passersby and speak to the value of the profession.
This is a recharging event where members get to directly engage and inspire the public as well as have fun creating their parklets. PARK(ing) Day is open to all, including interested members, firms, student groups, allied professional and local organizations. Groups and firms around South Carolina will be meeting before the date to start planning their parklets. Tell us what you are planning or let us connect you to others in your area. Please email updates or interest to firstname.lastname@example.org
As a reminder when planning, please remember to coordinate with the local department of transportation prior to the event.
