Parking Day 2017 Recap

PARK(ing) Day 2017 – Friday September 15th  worldwide

PARK(ing) Day has evolved into a worldwide event where on-street parking spaces are transformed into temporary, miniature parks or parklets. The goal is to demonstrate the value of landscape architecture and designed spaces. Participants at each location will discuss the parklets with passersby and speak to the value of the profession.

ASLA has announced their social media contest to choose among posts to #ASLAPD17 for both professional and student categories to be featured in LAMagazine. For more information and rules click here.

Downtown Greenville

The Greenville Park(ing) Day 2017 was a success this year. We moved downtown this year, and had a lot of eyes on our exhibit. Many people stopped to ask questions. We were joined by volunteers from AIA Greenville, and discussed how our professions shaped the way that Greenville looks today.
